Scales of War Scaphism

Spiv is a youngish elf, tallish, fit and proud of his skill with a blade.  He’d like to follow the tenet “Talk softly and carry a big stick,” but he loves blades.  Small blades, in general, and lots of them in particular.  And sometimes he can’t help speaking out when someone else is begging to be taken down a peg.

 His brash attitude, disdain for formality, and predeliction for violence left little room for him among elven society, so he struck out on his own. He gets a mixed reception in the places where he’s known, which don’t number too high.  Among the lower circles he has a good record for completing jobs, from light protection work to small time capers. The meritocracy of the system appeals to him - the talented are rewarded and the hacks are caught.

Spiv sees the world as adversarial and full of challenges. Challenges that can overcome if the right “twist” is put to them.
